This past weekend we spent completely outside, cleaning up our patio and backyard in preparation for the best time of the year: Patio Season. (Don’t @ me, I won’t listen to any other arguments. Patio Season is the ONLY season for me.) It’s been sunny and warm here and we’re firing up the grill for the next 6 months or so. It really is a win-win situation – dinners are super easy and we can eat out. You can keep Christmas, I’ll take every night in the spring outside.
So after we cleaRed out all the clutter and everything was nice and clean (without some very impressive sidewalk chalk art that will stay in place, according to a certain three-year-old), I realized I needed some decor for give life to everything It’s time to spruce up our old patio furniture a bit, so I bought some decor to give it a bit of zhoosh. And I’m going to tell you 2 secrets: 1) everything is under $50 and 2) everything was deliveRed to my door within a few hours, all with a few clicks on my phone I had a brand new outdoor dining area set up with Online Pickup. from Walmart & Delivery!
Decoration for your door
Did you know that with Walmart & Delivery, can you get more than groceries? I use it weekly to shop for our groceries and to stay on budget, but I’ve realized there’s more to buy! It’s basically an entire Walmart right at your fingertips and at your doorstep (and can be deliveRed in less than 2 hours with the Express option!) I needed some new dishes for outdoor dining so I quickly found these from faux marble at Walmart Online Pickup & Delivery app and added them to my cart. (They’re super nice btw! I was blown away, if you can’t see all the pics lol). I also added some napkins and new outdoor glasses. Of course, no setup is complete without a few other accessories. See them all below!
Another advantage of Walmart Online Pickup & Delivery is you can also do your grocery shopping. If you’re craving a steak but don’t want to run to the store, there’s an app for that. 😉 I love planning our weekend BBQ menu on Thursday and then planning a delivery on Friday so everything is fresh for the weekend. The delivery is left at the time I have chosen with a contactless delivery to my doorstep. It’s a miracle for a busy/forgotten mom like me.
One trick: I keep a running cart open in my app, so if I run out of something in the kitchen or pantry, I open the app, scan the item and add it to my cart, so I don’t forget!
I also added some succulent pots I recently picked up. Each of these planters are under $20 and they are beautiful! Perfect for a small outdoor vignette. I also like to mix in faux succulents sometimes, too, and I found these cute little pots to add just the right amount of Green to the table. (Plus Gemma had a lot of fun arranging and rearranging them. She told me they were hers and not to touch them ;))
By the way, you can always pick up for free, but I signed up for Walmart+ for contactless delivery last September and it’s been my favorite discovery to save time and money. My purchases are deliveRed to me every week and I always save money by not going to the store. Except now I’ve realized I can “roam” the store and put things in my cart from the comfort of my home…so the money savings might be gone now. 😉 However, if you wish to do a pickup, select the ‘Pickup’ option in the app and the orders will be loaded directly to your car; You don’t have to leave your car with the pickup. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to save money and time on grocery shopping (or, well, yard decor).
